A few months back, on one of the many “rap” nights at Stadium Red, we had Curren$y, Alchemist, Saigon and Joe Buddens working in Studio A, Studio B and Studio C4 respectively. That night was the night where Curren$y and Alchemist finished up the last two songs on a ten song project completely produced by Alchemist. This month a feature is out with Complex that talks about that project and also mentions when both of them were at Stadium Red.
“Curren$y just keeps on rolling. The New Orleans native is seemingly always in the midst of releasing new projects while working on even more new material. He’s coming off a banner year in 2010 (where he released two thirds of his acclaimed Pilot Talk trilogy), but he’s not ready to slow down just yet. He kicked off 2011 right by releasing his mixtape Return To The Winner’s Circle and just inked a new deal with Warner Brothers. We got Spitta to stop by the office to discuss all of his upcoming projects, including his Covert Coup EP with Alchemist, his Muscle Car Chronicles, and what his new deal with Warners will mean for his career. It’s Jets fool.” -Complex

On Saturday Patent Pending debuted on MTVU with their brand new music video for their song “One Less Heart To Break”. The video premiered and instantly went into rotation and took the featured spot on MTVUs website. Now the video is set to premier on MTV2 tomorrow and is continuing to pick up steam.
The video/song is off of Patent Pending’s most recent EP titled “I’m Not Alone” and is more then likely going to be on their new album that is currently being recorded in Stadium Red’s Studio A. The video and song portrays some heavy issues that many people and families struggle with: bullying, addiction, and suicide. The song was written with a message of hope, redemption, and community. A company called “To Write Love On Her Arms” is featured in the video and they do amazing things to help with suicide prevention. The video hits home on a serious issue and we at Stadium Red are proud to be associated with it and in support of a band really trying to do something great with their music.

Recently an interview with Stadium Red Founder & CEO Claude Zdanow was featured on AKG’s website where he discussed Stadium Red and our use of AKG Microphones. The interview was done by Harman who owns AKG as well as other recording industry staple brands like JBL, Crown, Lexicon and more.
“As one of the most successful and relatively new studios in the recording and production industry, Stadium Red relies on a full arsenal of AKG microphones to provide the best customer service, while making award-winning hits for clients. Built from an older, dormant studio space, Stadium Red has won eight GRAMMY® Awards in its first four years of business, including four out of 11 nominations in nine categories in 2011.” – Harman

Today Chris Brown’s forthcoming album “F.A.M.E” was released. The song “She Ain’t You” was recorded at Stadium Red in Studio A. Assisting on the session was Assistant Engineer Phil Consorti. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris on the project and looking forward to being a part of many more projects of his in the future.
“Following a string of consecutive R&B/Pop hit songs, three Grammy nominations and a well-received performance on Saturday Night Live, the stage is set for the release of Chris Brown s new album, F.A.M.E. The multi-platinum-selling singer/actor s Jive Records release is confirmed to be released on March 22. -Brown, a triple-threat as a singer/dancer/actor, has co-written on the majority of F.A.M.E, and has collaborated with a wide range of his peers including: Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Ludacris and more. – On this album some of the songs are more grown-up, says Chris in describing the album. There are songs from all genres: from street records to others that are real soul, 808 heavy that you ll hear in the club, and then others are strictly for the heart; songs that your mom and grandma can listen to and love. Collectively, F.A.M.E. is me giving fans every aspect of who I am as far as my art, my culture, and my concepts.” -Amazon.com

In the craze of all that was going on we forgot to post Part 1 of the video series Just Blaze did for Allindstrom.com. In this first video Just Blaze gives an inside look into his world and how it functions as a part of Stadium Red. Team member and in-house producer, Just Blaze gives a tour of the recording facility and talks a little bit of shop with the camera. Focused primarily on the room he works out of Studio B aka Rebel base, Blaze guides the viewer through the majority of the facility and talks about the other people on our team that makes our home a reality.
“There is a new version of the Harlem Renaissance. The heart of which is tucked away, in the heart of Harlem, NY. To access it, you have to take an elevator that consistently smells like the Popeye’s Fried Chicken that’s being cooked next door. If you’re lucky enough to have access through the giant glass door, you are now privy to the world that is Stadium Red. It’s hallways are filled with Grammy trophies, and platinum plaques. Each wall muffles the sounds of music being created, mixed, or even mastered. This is the place where hip-hop super producer Just Blaze calls home. His personal studio has taken on the name Rebel Base. This is where he plans on creating some of music’s biggest hits, and helping guide the careers of a few elite up and comers….” – Allindstrom.com

Stadium Red is proud to announce our involvement in Marsha Ambrosius’ debut solo album. Marsha, an incredible songwriter/producer/artist, recorded her single “Hope She Cheats On You (With A Basketball Player)” in Stadium Red’s Studio A. Engineered by our very own Andrew Wright and produced by Stadium Red regular Canei, this song is truly amazing. Marsha is a pleasure to work with and we hope to have her back at Stadium Red for many more projects.
About Marsha Ambrosius: Already proven as a talented, sought after songwriter and revered platinum-selling artist, Marsha Ambrosius is meeting the next challenge in her already impressive musical career by reinventing herself as a solo artist with her J Records debut disc LATE NIGHTS & EARLY MORNINGS. – Hailing from Liverpool, England, fans first got a taste of Marsha’s talent as the singing half of the duo Floetry. Their 2000 debut Floetic produced signature singles like “Say Yes” and “Getting Late” as well as four Grammy nods. Following the 2005 release of their second studio album, Flo’Ology, the ladies veered creatively and personally. While the split was difficult, Marsha continued to build a name for herself as a songwriter and producer, creating “Butterflies” for the late Michael Jackson and other hits for artists such as Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Jamie Foxx and Nas. She’s been nominated for a total of six Grammys and has been honored by BMI as their Songwriter of the Year.

This past Friday Artist Mac Miller released his new mixtape tittled “Best Day Ever”. As many may know, Miller is a frequent patron of Stadium Red and has been working with Stadium Red Team Member Just Blaze for sometime now. For this recent project Blaze produced the single tittled “All Around The World” which was completely worked on at Stadium Red. It was mixed by Ariel Borujow & Andrew Wright and mastered by Ricardo Gutierrez.
About Mac Miller: “Malcolm McCormick (born January 19, 1992), also known for his stage name Mac Miller, is an American rapper from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before his solo career, he was part of a rap group, Ill Spoken. Prior to signing with Rostrum, in his mid-teen years, Mac Miller went by the alias “Easy Mac”. Upon turning 18, he signed with Rostrum Records and released his mixtape debut, titled K.I.D.S. with the label in August 2010. – By 2009 Miller had released his first three recording projects, The Jukebox and The High Life, generating a buzz both in the streets and across the Internet. After signing with independent record label Rostrum Records, Mac released his highly anticipated mixtape “K.I.D.S.” The mixtape, which features his songs, “Knock Knock” and “Nikes On My Feet”, quickly grew in popularity with his fans on iTunes and on YouTube, where his videos have received over 30 million views on the channel “Treejtv”. – Miller released Best Day Ever on March 11, 2011. Miller’s first leak off of his mixtape was “Donald Trump”, and the music video was released on March 3, 2011, gaining 1,000,000 views within a week.” – Wikipedia.com
