Patent Pending on The 2012 Billboard Music Awards
|
|
This week, Long Island Punk Pop Band “Patent Pending” performed live at The Billboard Music Awards on ABC for over 7 million viewers. It’s amazing to me as Stadiumred and I have been a part of this voyage for the last 10 years. When I heard that the guys were part of this contest, The Billboard Chevy Cruze Battle Of The Bands; I knew they would win. I can’t explain why, but I just knew. This feeling is why I am in music today. You can learn more about the contest and the journey by going here. It was about 10 years ago when I first connected with Patent Pending. Actually, it was Joe Ragosta who I hung out with and he taught me how to play my first song on guitar. I built their first website (forever a techie). It was Joe who got me to walk into a professional recording studio for the first time; a life-changing moment. My own band, Blind Culture, played countless shows alongside Patent Pending. As it turned out, in 2006 I toured with Patent Pending as their bassist during their National Tour. It was an amazing experience with bands like Zebrahead, Authority Zero, Catch 22 and Red Jump Suit Apparatus. That tour was a major turning point in my life as it was the time I decided I wanted to create Stadiumred. Stadiumred recorded, mixed and mastered their last two albums (“I’m Not Alone”, “Second Family”). Also, Stadiumred artist Jeremy Carr was featured on “Anti-Everything” – the first track on their “Attack of the Awesome!!!” album. Over the years I’ve seen so many artists and bands come through Stadiumred. In all this time, I have never seen guys with so much drive and so much determination as the guys in Patent Pending. These guys deserve great credit for their work and their talent. I can’t wait to see what comes next! -Claude Zdanow (Founder, CEO) |
