Stadiumred’s live room was filled with sound as Svjetlana came in to work on her new album, ‘Evolution’ with David Frost and Tom Lazarus. This album is her highly anticipated producing debut in The United States. She has involved some of the top New York avant-garde, jazz, and prog rock players. With Martha Mooke on electric viola, Ha-Yang Kim on cello, Mordy Ferber on electric guitar, Leonardo Suarez Paz and Cornelius Dufallo on violin, Susan Aquila on electric violin Viper, Johnny Reinhard on bassoon, and Tony Levin on electric bass, among others, Svjetlana created an innovative electro-acoustic record which features hybrid sounds and altered tuning of her design. Stories of love, loss, trial and triumph dominate this album with music that has already garnered critical acclaim.
Svjetlana Bukvich is one of Sarajevo’s premier music figures. A “force in new music” (American Festival of Microtonal Music), Svjetlana alchemizes old with new in a superbly original, yet accessible voice. An innovator in hybrid electronic sound, and a compelling performer, Svjetlana has worked with a number of New York’s most cutting-edge instrumentalists, and has appeared in venues as varied as the The Kennedy Center, the Tribeca Film Festival, The Knitting Factory, (le) Poisson Rouge, ASCAP’s Thru The Walls Series, the New York Times Center, and internationally including Beijing, London, South Africa and Copenhagen. Described as “ecstatic musical experience” (New Music Connoisseur), her genre-bending performances are often informed by the unique places she has lived in – Addis Ababa, Edinburgh, Boston, New York City, and her native Sarajevo.

The Stadiumred Music Mix is featured on 8Tracks home page this week.
Time Magazine’s “The 50 Best Websites of 2011” included 8Tracks at the #1 spot on their list. According to Time, “Algorithm-powered “personal radio” services like Pandora are all very well. But they don’t feel nearly as personal as 8Tracks, a music site where real people do the choosing of tunes. Members pick at least eight songs (hence the name) from their own collections, upload them and share them as handcrafted mixes that seem like a happy throwback from the cassette era. You can find mixes created by your Facebook friends or simply follow other members who share your tastes. And it’s legal — the 8tracks people pay the necessary licensing fees to the music companies.
The Stadiumred Music playlist includes original music, remixes and bootlegs by Stadiumred artists & producers; “Give It Up For Love” (EDX ft John Williams – Mysto & Pizzi remix), ”Just One Breath” (Jeremy Carr), “Kick Out The Epic Motherf****r” (Dada Life & Alex Clare - Chachi Too Close remix) , “Louder Night Out” (Martin Solveig & Hardwell – Chachi Bootleg), “Roll The Dice VS Speed Up” (Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman & Funkerman – Chachi Bootleg), “Paddling Out VS Red Line” (Miike Snow & Wolfgang Gartner – Chachi Bootleg), “Bassive Alone” (Dirty South & Those Usual Suspects & Felguk – Chachi Bootleg), “Watch The Sunrise” (Qulinez & Axwell – Chachi Troll Edit Version 2), Se7en Promises (NERO & Nicky Romero – Chachi Bootleg).
