NEW MUSIC: J Cole – “The Sideline Story” Worked on at Stadium Red
In an era saturated with upstart MCs all vying for the coveted status of “next big thing”, the story of 24-year old North Carolina native J. Cole (born Jermaine Cole) is a refreshing exception to the quick route for fame and success. The first artist signed to Jay-Z’s new Roc Nation label, Cole made himself notable through a scholarly approach to the game – no small feat considering his Magna Cum Laude distinction upon graduating from St. John’s University. Stadium Red recently hosted J. Cole and his engineer for some finishing touches on his debut album “The Sideline Story”. They tweaked every record on the album in Studio A of Stadium Red and were assisted by Keith Parry. This album debuted at number 1, is currently the number 1 album in the country and is already being called a classic and sold 217,000 copies in the first week. New Music: Rick Ross’s New Single Done at Stadium Red
Rapper Rick Ross recently came into Stadium Red and completed his new single “I Love My Bitches,” which will be included on his upcoming album, God Forgives, I Don’t. “I wanted to go to another level, and make sure my sound continues to evolve,” Ross told Flex, which is a departure from the bass-heavy street anthems he’s been known for since last year’s Teflon Don. The track is another song worked on by various members of our team. Produced by Just Blaze, mixed by Andrew Wright and mastered by Ricardo Gutierrez makes this another record that showcases the talent up here at Stadium Red. This single premiered on HOT 97 in NYC on October 4th by legendary Funkmaster Flex. In the song Ross proclaims his love for women and shout outs to LeBron James and Dwayne Wade as well as his Bentley which is apparently named Barbara Streisand.
